Support YOUR Public Library!

You become a library supporter the minute you get a library card and start using the library, but if you would like to go one step further we can suggest several ways for you to make a real difference in the services and resources the library provides.

2024 Giving Campaign

The St. Francis Public Library will begin conducting Annual Giving Campaigns to fund specific projects that are not covered by the Library’s operating budget.

For our inaugural project in 2024, the Library Board has decided to transform one of the study rooms on the main level into a Nursing Lounge. The fundraising goal for this campaign is $3,000. To make a donation, please use the online donation form and be sure to mention the 2024 Giving Campaign in the comment section.

You can also purchase an item or two directly from our Amazon Wish List.

The funds will help cover the cost of a loveseat, nursing pillow, nursing stool, privacy curtains on the windows, an activity basket with books for older sibling, and other amenities to create a comfortable and private space for parents to feed their infants and pump.

Libraries are easy outings for new parents. Providing a Nursing Lounge for those parents will encourage them to continue using the Library without having to schedule Library visits around feeding times.

There will be many ways to support the Annual Giving Campaign. Keep an eye out on social media and in our newsletters for raffles, links to Amazon Wish Lists, and more. Fundraising and donation opportunities will be announced throughout the year, until our $3,000 goal is met.

Make a Donation

Your donation to the library helps us to go above and beyond basic library services to provide the community with an excellent collection, free public computer access, a variety of programs for kids and adults, and a comfortable and welcoming environment in which to enjoy it all!

  1. Monetary donations: The Library gratefully accepts monetary gifts from individuals, businesses, corporations and organizations. Donations are deposited in a special Library Donation fund. They are not used for operating expenses, but are used in accordance with the Library’s mission for special purchases, programs or projects.
    1. In-person donations – Staff are happy to accept your donation when you visit the library. Receipts for tax purposes are available, if requested.
    2. Online donations – use this online form to make your donation to the library. Your gift will be acknowledged with a letter, which can also be used as your tax receipt.

  2. Donations of books and other materials: Books not added directly to the library’s circulating collection are sorted by library staff and Friends volunteers. The Friends of the St. Francis Public Library Book Sale is supported by your generous donations of books and other items. Donations are accepted year round. Please follow the guidelines in the donation brochure (see link) to assist staff and volunteers in making sure your donation is processed quickly and efficiently.

Please read our donation brochure for all the details about making a donation to the library.

Make a Purchase from the Library's Amazon Wish List

The library is now offering an easy new way to support the library and library programming. We have created a “wish list” on Amazon of items that would enhance our programming but are not necessarily covered by our regular budget. These “extras” would help us boost the fun and creativity and offer exciting new programs. All you need to do is click on the link for the item(s) you want to donate and complete the purchase.
