A New Building?!
You may have heard whispers around the community about a new library being built as part of a development project on Lake Drive. We don't know much more about it than you do, but here's what we can share at this time:
This is not something that came from the Library or Library Board. A developer suggested including it in a proposed development project.
The current proposal is for a building that is significantly smaller than our current space. The entire project is in very early stages, so nothing has been decided or finalized.
If you have questions or concerns about the development project, please contact your alderperson, the City Administrator Mark Johnsrud, or Mayor Ken Tutaj. You are also invited to attend Common Council meetings and Library Board meetings to provide feedback and input.
The Library will, of course, provide updates and information as it becomes available.
As the Library continues to plan for the future, we will be actively seeking feedback from our patrons and the community at large. Community involvement is essential to ensuring that the Library meets your needs and continues to provide the best services possible.
We appreciate your support and look forward to working with everyone to determine if a new building is the right choice for the Library and community.
July 14 - August 29
Choose items from the list of needed supplies, then drop them off at the library. You may also purchase items from the Amazon wish list and have them shipped directly to Project Concern.
All contributions will help local families get the school year started off right.
